Classical Hatha Yoga
Jean’s Hatha Yoga class is a mindful, embodied practice that brings the body, breath, and awareness into harmony.
In class, we will move through physical postures (asanas) at a steady, intentional pace, holding poses long enough to feel alignment, strength, and sensation. The practice is supported by conscious breathing (pranayama), which helps calm the nervous system and anchor the mind in the present moment. Most classes also include periods of stillness, meditation, or relaxation, allowing the effects of the practice to settle in.
Hatha Yoga is not about rushing or performing—it’s about listening, adjusting, and cultivating balance. Props such as blocks, straps, or bolsters are often used to support the body, deepen awareness, and make poses accessible to all levels.
Overall, this Hatha Yoga class is grounding and strengthening, gently challenging yet nourishing—a practice that builds flexibility, stability, and inner steadiness, both on and off the mat.
