Golden Milk
Ingredients
- 2 ½ Cup Unsweetened, full-fat almond or coconut milk
- 1 Cinnamon Stick (or ¼ Tsp Ground Cinnamon, plus more for garnish)
- 1 Inch fresh ginger, sliced (or ½ Tsp Ground Ginger)
- ½ Tsp Coconut Oil
- A Pinch Black Pepper
- 1 Tbsp Maple Syrup or Honey (adjust to taste)
Instructions
Step 1
In a small saucepan, combine the milk, cinnamon stick, turmeric, ginger, coconut oil, and black pepper.
Step 2
Heat over medium-low heat, stirring frequently, until the mixture is warm but not boiling. Taste and add your preferred sweetener, adjusting to your liking.
Step 3
If using fresh turmeric and ginger, strain the mixture before pouring it into cups. If using ground spices, simply divide the golden milk between two mugs.
Step 4
Sprinkle with a dash of ground cinnamon for extra flavor and garnish.
Serve warm and enjoy!
